COMPANY PROFILE
Thank you for visiting our website. Please take time to explore the various pages to further understand
S2 Corporation’s experience and wide range of capabilities.
Overview:
S2 Corporation is a dynamic, high-technology based small
business that aims to provide creative solutions for multiple
Department of Defense customers. Our areas of focus include radar,
signal processing, communications, frequency stable lasers and
cryogenics, for both military and commercial applications. S2
Corporation is
experienced in proof-of concept design, rapid prototyping, and testing.
Incorporation
and Ownership:
S2 Corporation was incorporated in November 2005, and is
privately owned and operated.
Mission:
Our efforts are aimed at harnessing and applying so called revolutionary
“S2 technology” based on spatial and spectral (S2)
crystalline materials, which offer a unique combination of absorption
and holographic properties with high optical quality.
S2 Technology & Applications:
Applications for S2 technologies include radar range-Doppler signal processing, surveillance
and signal intelligence for electronic warfare, and related applications, signal processing
for broadband pulsed laser radar, optical communications, and multi-static continuous wave
laser radar. Emerging technology applications include analog-to-digital conversion,
arbitrary waveform generation, and true-time delay for RF beamforming. Our supporting
technology development efforts include cryogenics engineering and RF and digital components,
among others.
Commercialization:
S2 materials lie at the core of all of the envisioned hardware to support various
applications. When combined with photonics, electronics and cryogenics components,
these so called S2 technologies offer the potential for improved performance in
an unconventional yet viable approach. As such, markets for S2 technology in various
applications are being established as capabilities are enabled by
the underlying hardware and techniques.
At the present time, we are pushing S2-based technological solutions to higher
Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) in order to demonstrate sufficient viability
for various system insertions. This is being achieved with in-house demonstrations,
rapid prototype building, and off-site testing efforts. As readiness is advanced,
we aim to commercialize S2 technology via in-house production efforts, and also seek
appropriate teaming agreements for specific system requirements based on technology
insertion opportunities.
