S2 Testifies Before the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs
July 2, 2008S2 Corporation testified at a field hearing before the Committee on Homeland Security Governmental affairs. The hearing, titled, Securing the Northern Border: Views from the Front Lines was held at Montana State University - Northern, in Havre, Montana. Dr. Kris Merkel, CEO/President of S2 Corporation, was invited by Montana Senator Jon Tester, through the Senate Committee on Homeland Security Governmental Affairs, to address the challenges that businesses face in developing a relationship with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and bringing attention to technologies that may have homeland security applications. Currently, S2 Corporation is developing an ultra-wideband radar signal processor with multiple applications within the DHS and has felt, first hand, the struggles in working with the department and receiving additional funding to bring a government research and funded product to field testing, and ultimate commercialization.
