S2 Awarded DARPA Phase I SBIR Contract

S2 Corporation has received a Phase I Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Contract from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The contract was awarded in response to topic number SB082-041-0390, with a proposal entitled “High Resolution Wide-Bandwidth Optical Arbitrary Waveform Generation Over Extended Time Apertures”. Under the contract, S2 will perform research and development efforts for high resolution wide-bandwidth Optical Arbitrary Waveform Generation (OAWG) over extended time apertures and will include laboratory proof-of-concept demonstrations of coherent accumulation method of OAWG and analysis of the potential capabilities and limitations of the technology. A subcontract has been awarded to University collaborator Montana State University Spectrum Lab.
